Decourt Desserts is a French-inspired online pastry shop based in Letterkenny, founded by a French pastry chef who trained in classical patisserie before bringing her craft to Donegal. Every cake and pastry is homemade using traditional techniques, with no artificial flavours, no palm oil, and no artificial colours — just honest, artisanal desserts made with premium ingredients, baked to be shared.

Local ingredients are at the heart of how Decourt bakes. Eggs come from Fanad, cream from a nearby farmer working with the local dairy cooperative, and honey is sourced right here in Donegal. Seasonal fruits are chosen wherever possible, keeping flavours fresh, food miles low, and the baking connected to where it comes from.

The range includes classic French pastries — macarons, choux, Tropézienne, and celebration cakes — alongside premium bespoke desserts for weddings and special occasions, all crafted by hand and made to order. Everything is available for collection or delivery. A little piece of Paris, rooted firmly in Donegal.

Please note that Decourt Desserts does not provide cake design or decorating services.

FAQ

What is Decourt Desserts?

Decourt Desserts is a French pastry business based in Letterkenny, Donegal. All desserts are handmade in small batches using quality ingredients and traditional French pastry techniques.

Where can I find Decourt Desserts?

You can find Decourt Desserts at Charlie’s Farm Shop and Ramelton Country Market. Some products are also available through seasonal pop-ups and selected local retailers. Send us a message on social media to find out where our desserts are currently available.

Do you make everything from scratch?

Yes everything is handmade from scratch, with care and attention to detail. We focus on small-batch baking rather than mass production. All doughs and pastries are handmade.

Are your pastries made with natural ingredients?

Yes. We avoid artificial flavours and palm oil whenever possible. We do not use food colouring unless specifically requested for special occasions. We also prioritise local ingredients, including locally sourced cream, eggs from Fanad, and fruits from Donegal.

Do you offer custom cakes?

We do not offer fully customised or themed cakes. All our desserts follow our own French pastry menu and style, which you can explore on our website and social media. For weddings, birthdays and events, we can adapt sizes, quantities and dessert selections depending on your occasion.

How far in advance should I order?

We recommend ordering as early as possible, especially for celebration cakes and weekends. Some products may be available with shorter notice depending on availability. For regular orders, we recommend ordering at least 3 days in advance. For birthdays and larger celebrations, we recommend at least 1 week notice. For weddings and large events, please contact us at least 1 month in advance.

Do you deliver?

Local delivery is available in Letterkenny. Also anywhere in Donegal depending on the order and precise location. Please contact us directly to confirm availability.

Do your desserts contain allergens?

Our kitchen uses gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts and peanuts. Some desserts can be made gluten-friendly depending on the recipe, however we do not operate in a fully gluten-free kitchen and cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination, as wheat flour is also used in our workspace. Please contact us before ordering if you have allergies or dietary requirements.

Are your macarons gluten-free?

Our macarons are naturally gluten-free ingredients-wise, but they are prepared in a kitchen that also handles gluten. Therefore we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination.
