After 20 years running a café in Donegal Town, the family behind Little Mama’s Gelato turned a lifelong love of ice cream parlours into an authentic Italian gelateria right in the heart of Donegal. Jon trained with some of Italy’s finest gelato chefs, returning with time-honoured techniques and a passion for quality that informs every batch. He continues to travel to Italy each year to bring fresh ideas home.
With over 100 flavours created to date — including celebrated collaborations with O’Donnell’s Brown Bread, Silkie Whiskey, Muff Gin, and McDaid’s Football Special — their motto is simple: you dream it, we make it. Produced at their facility in Barnesmore Gap, Little Mama’s gelato is supplied to restaurants, hotels, cinemas, and shops across Donegal.
